Guided by the Mission statements of the SUHSD and Mission Trails ROP, the Everett Alvarez High School College and Career Center will empower our students to be college and career ready by providing them with relevant opportunities to develop skills to achieve their future aspirations.
*Afford students the opportunity to explore, learn from, and give back to the community.
*Demonstrate knowledge about the world of work and how to prepare for occupations of interest.
*Provide students with opportunities to develop and test their skills, attributes, and abilities
*Provide students with opportunities for career exploration
*Disseminate information about opportunities for work, internships, community service, and work-based learning activities
*Inform students about postsecondary options for education and training
*Prepare students for the transition from school to work
Goals and Objectives:
*To have all students take a career assessment each year of high school
*To have students select classes that match their career interests
*To have students participate in internships and hands-on learning
*To connect students with community members and partners from various sectors
*To have students become A-G or CTE completers on the California dashboard
*To have every student complete an application during senior year for a postsecondary option
*To have members of the community participate in students' career development
