Our Program of Work has helped us make connections with different organizations in our community. We have learned how to assist and communicate with adults professionally which aligns with the FCCLA purpose, "to promote greater understanding between youth and adults". These skills have helped us partner with several professional organizations and has allowed our members to get involved and give back to our community in a variety of ways. Our Program of Work corresponds with several of the FCCLA purposes. Purpose number four is, "To encourage individual and group involvement in helping achieve global cooperation and harmony". The community service projects we participate in directly impact our community positively. We use professional skills every day whether it is leading a meeting, setting up community service opportunities or organizing chapter activities. The Program of Work allows us to plan our year while managing our time and our resources. It provides us the ability to collaborate with our fellow members to create opportunities for personal growth. FCCLA's purpose number one, "To provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life". Our goal is to help our members develop skills that will help them be successful in their future such as; communication skills, organizational skills, leadership skills, time management skills and problem solving skills.
