Who can be a member?
Anyone who has had a Family and Consumer Science class and are in grades 7-12 can be a member. Members can get involved at the local, region, state or national level through our National Programs, Competitive Events, or Community Service opportunities. Potential members need to read over the new member packet, fill out the membership form and pay their dues. See below. Once the state and national dues are paid, the student will be an official affiliated member.

What are the benefits of joining FCCLA?
With FCCLA you will learn how to make a difference in your families, communities, and future careers. Members will learn valuable life skills such as goal-setting, problem-solving, planning, decision-making, and interpersonal communication! FCCLA can enhance your public speaking skills and assist you in developing your leadership style. As a member, you have the opportunity to compete in our STAR events, attend leadership workshops, and earn scholarships for college. You can also get involved at the local level, assisting with community service projects, fundraising, and networking with your peers. There is something for everyone in FCCLA!! Won't you join us ?

8th Grade Parent Night
This was a great opportunity for officers to introduce FCCLA to younger students and their parents. We shared information about STAR Events, competitions, running for office, travel opportunities, and FCCLA as a whole. We also discussed leadership development, community service, scholarships, and career exploration, along with the opportunities offered through our hospitality and culinary classes.
Retention Efforts
Letterman Jackets
Members that compete at the state level in a STAR events for 2 years. Qualifying for Nationals can bypass the state requiremnets.
Graduation Cords
Seniors must attend 50% of the chapter meetings. They must also participate in one fundraiser (minimum requirement) and participate in at least two service learning projects.
End of the Year Trip
Based on our point system, students can earn a spot at our end-of-year bash. Students must participate in FCCLA fundraisers and activities to earn points, and they must accumulate 80% of the overall points to be eligible. See the new member packet for more information on our point system.
