FCCLA members traveled to Seattle, Washington to participate at the National Leadership Conference. While visiting members were able to explore all that Seattle had to offer. From taking in the view from the Space Needle to traveling across the Puget Sound by ferry. Members also experience some tourist hot spots such as the first Starbucks, Pike Place Market, China Town and the bubblegum wall. We also caught a Seattle Mariners game and took a tour of the Pacific Science Center.
Members had the experience of a lifetime exploring this great city but they also experienced personal growth. We participated in leadership workshops, listened to some inspiring speakers and participated in community service project called "Nourishing Neighbors". We networked with FCCLA members from all over the country and even made some new friends. Both of our STAR event teams scored between 80-90 and earned a silver medal for the state of Texas.
