Gym Rules
Gym Rules
·Be respectful of yourself and others at all times.
·Show good sportsmanship and encourage one another.
·Be prompt, dressed out, and prepared to participate each class period.
Most importantly have fun and follow all the stated rules assigned by the teacher at all times.

Gym Procedures
· Leave your backpacks along wall on the shelves by the water fountains. If there is no more room on the shelves please put them in front of the shelves but do not go past the edge of the wall. This is a fire hazard if the backpacks are all over the floor in the hallway. If they are left in the middle of the hallway, the coach will have everyone come back and put them in the correct position. Wait patiently and quietly until you are instructed to come in the gym to get dressed.
· Wait until the coach is present to enter the gym. If the coach is not present the first person in line can come see if coach is in the office in the gym, if coach is in the office they may ask if they can enter the gym.
· Enter the gym in a quiet and orderly manner. NO RUNNING into the locker rooms to get ready.
· Proceed quickly and quietly to your respective locker rooms and change into your PE uniform. (you will have ONLY 3 minutes) ALL CLOTHES are to be placed into a BAG and put into the lockers provided in the locker room. NO CLOTHES or BAGS should be left on the ground due to this being a safety hazard.
***If you are not sitting on your bottom and facing forward towards the coach you will be considered late to class. If late, after the warm-up the students will have to walk, run, or jog laps for 10 minutes.
· After changing, report to your letter and number on the gym floor and wait quietly for instructions/roll call.
· Wait until instructed to touch any equipment set up on the gym floor. If things are played with or touched prior to being instructed to do so, consequences will follow as needed which might include running laps or points deducted.
· When class is over, all equipment is helped put away then the students will return to their locker rooms, and quickly and quietly change back into your uniform. (students will have 5 minutes to get dressed in their uniforms)
· When dressed, get into line along the black line and wait to be dismissed by the coach.

· If you do not dress out and do not participate you will be required to do laps or a writing assignment. Sitting out because you do not want to play the activity will not be accepted. If you decide not to participate, points will be lost and the student will be required to walk laps in silence until it is time to line up.
· One warning will be given for the first offense and if the act is repeated, a detention will be issued by the coach.
· A student may be dismissed out of class to the principal’s office if deemed by the coach due to repeated disruption to the class.
· If the student does not dress out or participate and refuses to do laps, the student will receive a 50 for the day.
