Week 8: Monday, May 4th - 10th

We had a light week with FlipGrid Submissions, but it was fun seeing the few games that you came up with! This week on FlipGrid, we are going to do our Push Up and Curl Up Fitness test. It will not be public (Only Mr. Davis will see these tests) unless you put it in the video, in a comment somewhere, or if you email me saying you want others to see. --- --- --- MISSING ASSIGNMENT UPDATE! --- --- ---

PLEASE CHECK OPTION C FOR MISSING ASSIGNMENTS!

It will either be labeled complete or incomplete. If you submitted the google form, it is labeled complete. If you just emailed me your log, it is considered partially done, but still incomplete because there are additional questions that need to be answered. You will need to have every assignment marked complete before the year is over. So if you are missing anything now, in order to make up the assignment, you will need to increase your activity to achieve the additional missed hour of activity and submit the google form.

Your Assignment in 7th and 8th Grade is to:

1. Do at least 60 minutes of physical activity during the week (Check out the "Extra Resource Page" for ideas). The 60 minutes of physical activity can be done over multiple sessions, but each session must be at least 20 minutes.

Please save and print the document below to fill out this week. Then fill out document pen or pencil. If you do not have a printer, please hand write the fitness log on a piece of paper. After you complete this, you will have a parent or guardian sign it. Then you will take a picture of this document with your phone or camera and submit this file in the google form listed below.

2. Watch "Believe in You Video Series" Episode 7 (Posted Below) and complete your response in the google form.

2. This week on FlipGrid we are going to complete the push up and curl up fitness test. There are TWO DIFFERENT GRIDS, ONE for the push ups and ONE for the curl ups. The proper form is listen in the photos below. We will not be using the cadence, you will just go at your own pace. In the video please state your age before doing the test. I want to see if you can reach your goal! If you can do more, lets see how many you can do!

LAST WEEKS FLIPGRID - We did not have many submissions, if you would like to help create a Virtual Field Day please create a came. If I do not receive enough games, I will create the games. Please come up with a fun game that everybody can play at home with everyday household items. The game needs to be able to be played by Grades K-8. In the video, you will have to go over the rules, how to earn points (No games can receive more than 5 points. It can be as easy as if you complete the challenge you get points), and a video demonstration. The game can be family based to get other family members involved as well. Depending on how many games we receive, there might be a vote to decide on what games will be played. Or we may use them all! Have fun with this and be creative. Remember, not everybody will have a basketball hop or a lacrosse stick.
