Challenges
Grade 4 Students of 2025-2026, I would like to offer this collection of videos to help you improve your tech skills. Please email me if you have additional questions. You can find me in room 107-108 during the school week, but I am truly busy. It is best to email me instead.
Why? I am teaching tech classes to ALL students in grade k-3.
As a fourth grader, you will be learning with tech in your classroom. Therefore, additional help from me can be found in videos on this site or communicating with email.

Don't ever click on a link in an email if you don't know the sender. It can be dangerous! This video shows how to find someone in email by name (in the schools) and includes an email challenge. Always know whom you are sending an email to. Sending an adult an email is like sending a paper letter. There are etiquette rules.

Typing club will let you automatically login if you are on a school chromebook or syncing Google Chrome at home. Practicing on keyboarding skills is very important in this day and age. The faster you can type, the more you can create. The faster your fingers can automatically find the keys, the more your brain can think of what to say, rather than how to type what you want to say.
Typing Challenge
Sign in to your typing club account. Spend 10 minutes learning some new keys..
There is no screencast version of this video.
If an email is sent out to multiple recipients (two or more people) then how you reply is important. First of all, if you reply to an email in school mail, the original message is sent along with the reply. Now, watch the video to see who can see the reply, based on how you reply.
Mutliple Email Challenge
Write one email to five different friends in your grade. If you receive an email sent to five friends, click on reply all to respond and let everyone see the response.
Last week, a practice phishing (bad bad bad!) email was sent out to grade 4 students. Many students clicked on it. NO! Even one student clicking on a real phishing email can hurt our school. We will disucss it in class. The chosen video for this week is about the "bad" stuff that is hidden in emails as "Clicks" or "links". Remember, DON'T EVER CLICK a LINK in an EMAIL from SOMEONE YOU DON'T KNOW.
Talk About Malware with mom/dad
Tell mom and dad about the lesson this week.
Ask mom and dad about the company email tests.
