While SAE is working directly with vendors, each vendor has different criteria, methods and requirements. In some cases you will need to download the softare and make application for a licence or use a central form so we can make that application on your behalf. Please check the details for software related to your discipline.

Ableton Live (on private computer)
Ableton is offering students an extension on their Live 10 Trial, which is essentially Live 10 Suite available for free for 30 days.

Advice from Ableton
Please tell the students to contact ABLETON shortly before or after it expires and they can then extend the trial period for another 30 days. Please do not contact SAE for this.
Ableton users on SAE Campus machines (off-site)
For those students using SAE Campus machines at home (iMacs), please follow the below instructions to connect to our VPN server, to allow the software to connect to the central license. You will need your campus login details (see back of your Student ID Card) to connect to the VPN !
Mastering The Mix
Mastering The Mix have released a new plugin called MIXROOM. They are giving all SAE students and tutors a 3 month Trial Extension for both MIXROOM and BASSROOM to help you create great sounding mixes.

UPDATE: 3 month educational ProTools licence available within the next few days (extending the initial free 3 months)
AVID and SAE are working on a special 3 month license model, to allow students at home to get a license without having to commit to 12 months of a product. We expect more information and a way to register for this in the next couple of days.
