Avid Media Composer | First

Avid Media Composer First edition is available on campus and accessible from home, allowing you to create a My Avid account and register to use Media Composer First from your own computer or from one on campus. In order to use the program, you do have to have a My Avid account with an active registration of Media Composer First, but it is free to register.

Getting Media Composer First Access:

• Step 1: Go to https://www.avid.com/media-composer and click Download on the Media Composer First edition.

• Step 2: Either click Create an Account to create a new My Avid account or sign in to your exisiting personal My Avid account.

At Home:

• Step 1: Login to My Avid account and download the Media Composer First edition and the Avid Link apps.

• Step 2: Install both apps.

• Step 3: Open Avid Link and login to your account.

• Step 4: Click on Products and make sure that Media Composer First edition is listed in your products.

• Step 5: Open Media Composer and ensure you select to use Media Composer First edition when prompted.

On Campus:

• Step 1: Open Avid Link and login to your account.

• Step 2: Click on Products and make sure that Media Composer First edition is listed in your products.

• Step 3: Open Media Composer and ensure you select to use Media Composer First edition when prompted.
