To get started on the work placement journey you need to get ready to find a placement. That is just like searching for a job. You will need to create an online portfolio, a resume and a cover letter - we will refer to these as your Application Documents. Guidance will be provided during the compulsory workshops and you can check out the additional resources below.
Key things to remember when developing your Application Documents:
Be creative - this is your time to shine and show off your creative skills
Be concise - the average Resume is viewed for just 6 seconds, too much waffle will put recruiters off. Keep only the vital information.
Be honest - don't include incorrect information, be open about your level of experience and what you can bring to the table
Be flexible - if you don't have much work experience, think about what transferable skills you can bring from your studies or your own personal experiences.
