RPL for the full unit may be considered if a student:
Completed a comparable work placement or internship module at another university or higher education provider as part of a Bachelor Degree program
Completed 80+ hours paid or unpaid work prior to the commencement of the SAE degree
In the field of study
Can provide a letter from the employer that provides evidence of work. (Freelance - as long as we have letters of endorsement from a contractor which states the nature of the work, who was commissioned to do it and the rough amount of time it took).
RPL will be approved provided the industry work was completed prior to undertaking study with SAE or the experience is ongoing over a longer period of time (6+ months). You will need to provide evidence that you have met the learning outcomes. See below;
The student will need to provide the following with the application:
A letter of recommendation from a recent client/company confirming the dates that you started working with them, duration and your role.
A short write-up addressing how you have met the following Learning Outcomes for CIM310.
An industry resume and/or Portfolio/website link.
Learning Outcomes are as follows:
CLO1 Demonstrate regular and consistent reflective practice addressing your proficiencies, processes and people skills.
LO1 Apply knowledge and transferable skills required for employment.
LO2 Demonstrate professional practice and conduct in a workplace setting.
LO3 Evaluate Work Placement performance in the context of the program of study.
