Book time on the Avid S6 and concentrate on one section at a time (Start with theMaster Modulal or the Transport Controls).
Open and book mark interactive manual. (Can't download)
Work your way through the Avid Tutorial play list for the S6 on your laptop whilst in the S6 studio.
If you have Protools at home and a mobile device or tablet - Install Eucon Desktop software from the AVID website and download the controller app from the App Store and use your device as a Protools Surface/Controller. (Free)

Work your way through the S6 Tutorials. 1-22 Click on the title ("1. Get Started Fast with...") to open the entire play list in a new browser window. Ideally have a laptop in the S6 Studio whilst following along on the S6. Skip around tutorials as required and make notes in your journal about what you have learnt.
5. EUCON - introduction Setup and installation.
The Below tutorial is how to install the free AVID Eucon controller software on your computer at home. You will need :
Your own computer with Protools installed and wifi/bluetooth enabled.
Your own tablet, device, ipad, phone with access to the App store.
You will have to install the free Eucon software on both the computer and device.
Why? - because it is almost exactly the same as the S6 software (it is the same without the XMON menus) - so you can practice at home before coming into the studio!
