Navigate is a peer mentoring program designed to help freshmen transition into high school with the support of junior and senior class mentors. These upperclassmen mentors, who have demonstrated success in their own high school career, will lead weekly meetings in which freshmen connect with other students and volunteer adult facilitators to discuss interests, aspirations, and strategies for a successful high school experience.

Based on topics students themselves endorse, adult volunteers and Seeds of Independence staff will facilitate discussions on a variety of ethical issues and problem-solving exercises with the overall intent of recognizing and making good choices that lead to success. These meetings are fun, meaningful, and driven by student interests. They provide a safe space for students to ask questions and hear experiences from respected community members and upperclassmen who have succeeded through various challenges.
