IB Analysis and Approaches 1 SL & HL* Grade 11
Full Year Course Number: 1028 (SL) & 1049 (HL)
IB Mathematics Analysis and Approaches is designed for students who enjoy developing their mathematics to become fluent in the construction of mathematical arguments and develop strong skills in mathematical thinking. They will explore real and abstract applications, sometimes with technology, and will enjoy the thrill of mathematical problem solving and generalization.
Math Analysis & Approaches is for students pursuing paths where math is the focus (mathematics, economics, physics). Topics include, sequences and series, linear, quadratics, exponential, cubic, sinusoidal, and logarithmic functions, geometry and trigonometry, statistics and probability, and calculus. This course is best suited for college bound students where STEM is their intended focus.
*Prerequisites: Honors Algebra II and Math teacher recommendation
IB Analysis and Approaches 2 SL & HL* Grade 12
