General Music classes

Vocal classes:

Patriot Singers

Full Year Course Number: 5022

Grades: 9, 10, 11, 12

This chorus is open to anyone who wants to join. No auditions, and no former musical experience is required. The core philosophy of this class is that anyone can learn how to sing, no matter their background. In this class students learn how to use the voice in a healthy and sustainable way, how to read music, tackle stage fright, navigate an audition, channel creative expression, use critical thinking, aspire to excellence in ensemble performance, and come together as a team. Attendance at our winter and spring concerts is mandatory. Additional performance opportunities include tree lightings, caroling, Performing Arts Night and frequent National Anthem performances. We sing the National Anthem for select GNG games and pep rallies, and once a year for a local professional sports team. The Choral Department is excited to see this group grow and change over time.
