Graduation Program
Graduation Requirements
To be eligible to graduate, all grade 12 students must ensure they have met and completed the Graduation Requirements:
- Be a registered Grade 12 student at Stelly’s or ILC who, according to the Ministry of Education standards, is in a position to graduate in June 2024 OR be a registered Grade 12 student at Stelly’s or ILC who is completing an approved Student Education Plan.
- Maintain passing grades* in all required graduation credit courses up to May 2, 2024, including Work Experience (WEx) course(s).
- Complete at least 70% of all required distance education courses (e.g. SIDES) by May 3, 2024.
- Complete all Career Life Education requirements, including the Capstone project and 30 hours work experience.
*Note: “I” letter grades are not considered passing grades.
SIDES Courses
- If your SIDES courses are NOT 100% completed by June 30, 2024:
- You might NOT be considered graduated as of June 2024.
- You may be eligible to graduate, at the earliest, in January 2025.
- This may delay your entry to post-secondary from September 2024 to the Spring session 2025.

Marks from Summer School and completed online courses are listed.
Online courses currently taking are listed (must complete 70% by May 2). See column for Interim Mark.
Dropped courses are listed with a final mark “W”, and with no credit.
Number of credits at the grade 12 level is 16 or more.
Total number of credits is 80 or more.
Capstone Presentation
Capstone presentations are a graduation requirement and part of the Career Life Connections course. Please check your CLC Google Classroom and school email on a regular basis and remember to show up for your scheduled meetings with your designated teacher. Capstone Days are January 16, 2024 & June 14, 2024.

Grad Appeal - Part 1 - April 15 - 19
If you already feel you are not in a position to graduate:
Book a meeting with Ms. Paas.
Grad Appeal - Part 2 - April 6 - 10
Check the list of eligible graduates - posted at the Counselling area in May.
If you’re not on the list, book a meeting with Ms. Paas.
Submit your Grad Appeal Plan.
Grad Appeal Action Plan
Meet with Ms. Paas to:
Request reconsideration for graduation
Explain your situation
Outline what school work needs to be completed
Present your action plan for completion of the outstanding work
Present appropriate mark change forms signed by teachers for any incomplete required graduation credit courses
All action plans must include participation in the Monday to Friday before and after-school support.
Action plan templates are available in the Career Centre.
