The University of Victoria (UVic) has a specific ticketing process for the Grad Class of 2026. The ticketing process this year is different than in years past. Please read the information below very carefully.
The Farquhar Auditorium has great sightlines and acoustics from all seats.
The Recognition Ceremony Participation Google Forms will be date and time stamped in the order they are submitted. This information will be used by the UVic Ticket Centre to process requests.
Priority will be given to students on the Eligible to Graduate List posted on the Grad Google Classroom in May.
Any special requests for seats must be indicated on the Recognition Ceremony Participation Google Form (accessibility or mobility needs)
Special seating tickets must be booked by phone through the UVic Ticket Centre.
Please note that all human beings must have a ticket, even babes-in-arms and toddlers. This seat must be included in your ticket limit.
Overview of the New Ticketing Process
All tickets will be booked directly through the UVic Ticket Centre (online or by phone) - Tickets are no longer automatically allocated to students.
All students will be uploaded into the UVIC system using their @saanichlearns.ca email address. All users will be required to verify their email and set a password.
We strongly recommend that students and parents complete this account set-up step prior to the on-sale date. UVIC will send a system-generated email reminder with instructions and the on-sale date to student email addresses.
First round of ticket allocations permit families to book up to four seats (ticket cost covered by school grad fees)
At the specified date (Mid-May, TBD) families will be able to log in using the student’s email address to select up to four seats for no additional cost.
Only students on the Stelly's eligible to graduate list will be able to access tickets. Please attend to overdue books, school fees and complete all forms in the Google classroom to ensure you are able to book tickets on schedule.
A second round of tickets will be made available approximately 2 weeks later for families to purchase extra tickets. Payment can be made by Visa or Mastercard (cash and debit my be used for in-person sales). There is no guarantee the additional tickets will be seated with the original ticket.
Important Notes
Guests requiring accessible seating can contact the UVic Ticket Centre directly to book tickets. These seats are held specifically for this purpose and can only be booked by phone or in person.
The UVic Ticket Centre will email tickets directly to the graduating student’s @saanichlearns.ca email address.
Tickets will not be emailed until all historical overdue fees and textbooks up until the end of semester 1 are paid/returned.
Tickets can be printed in advance and brought to the venue on the day of the ceremony or the ticket can be presented on a mobile device where the barcode can be easily scanned.
All tickets include the name of the graduating student.
The barcode of each ticket is linked to the seat. Printing multiple tickets for the same seat will not get multiple people into the ceremony.
Once the tickets are distributed via email, students can contact the UVic Ticket Centre directly if changes are needed to the seating arrangements. UVic is happy to make changes if seats are available.
Making changes to tickets will invalidate the barcode on the original ticket.
On-campus parking can be purchased at any general lot meter.
It is recommended that families arrive early or purchase passes in advance through Campus Security. (https://parking.uvic.ca/ebusiness/cmn/index.aspx)
