Digital Citizenship

The Rye Neck district is committed to ensuring that our students are ethical, safe and responsible users of all that the internet and digital media has to offer. To ensure that our instruction is comprehensive and ongoing we are guided by a full digital citizenship curriculum through our partnership with Common Sense Education. We will be focusing a great deal on the Common Sense Media modules during our year in Research Tech, and the modules will be incorporated through all disciplines in grades 7-12.

The Common Sense Curriculum focuses on the following areas

    • Privacy & Security
    • Digital Footprint & Reputation
    • Self Image & Identity
    • Creative Credit & Copyright
    • Relationships & Communication
    • Information Literacy
    • Cyberbullying & Digital Drama
    • Internet Safety
