Week of October 26th ▪️ Vol: XIX Issue: 9

• Supplies & Parent Volunteers Needed: On Friday, November 6, from 8:45 - 11:00ish, we will be wrapping up our "Waste in our World" Unit by making recycled paper. We will need the following:

  • 3-4 Parent Volunteers to help students blend, squish, and press paper.

  • We are collecting newspapers and flyers (no waxy or glossy paper please)

• Halloween & Party Planners: We will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 30. Students are welcome to wear costumes to school as we enjoy a day filled with creativity, fun, and school spirit. We ask families to help ensure costumes are appropriate for our kindergarten to grade 9 learning environment. We will be doing a LockBox Activity and playing games

In early November, the students will be divided into 4 Party Planner Groups and will be responsible for organizing and running one of four parties we will be hosting: Winter Wonderland, Ms. H Goodbye, Spring Break, and End of Year Bash.

• ** LAST WEEK ** NPS Food Drive: NPS will be collecting items for the Airdrie Food Bank from October 5-30. I will post daily / weekly pictures of our Most Needed Checklist on the class Instagram.

• XtraMath: Reminder, if you would like to use XtraMath at home with your child, please email me and I will send you the log-in instructions.

• Public Speaking: Sheets were sent home on october 20. Students will present their piece from November 2-6.

• Recorder Orders: Need a recorder? We can help! Recorders may be purchased through the school for $10 each or $20 for two. Orders and payments can be made through School Cash Online. The ordering deadline is October 28.
