What are Word Nerds?
Word Nerds is the study of the spelling, vocabulary, and semantics of words. Increasing a students vocabulary will improve reading comprehension and will lead to more creative word choices when writing. The words will become more meaningful as students learn examples and non-examples for each word.

We are starting a new form of word nerds. Students will need to know the following for each vocabulary word: spelling, definition, used in a sentence, synonyms, and antonyms. We will study these in class.
