Registration for September 2024-2025 is now open. No changes can be made after August 15th.
*The Kindergarten Center currently has a waitlist.
If your registration has been noted as waitlisted, please DO NOT pay the $50 registration fee at this time.
Please read the following information...
Registration is not considered complete until the $50 non-refundable registration fee is paid.
The $50 fee will be posted to your PaySchoolsCentral account within 48hrs of registration.
September tuition will be posted after August 15th and due August 31st.
No changes to registration can be made AFTER August 15th.
Space is limited and registration is first come, first serve.
KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS / NEW TO DISTRICT
Incoming Kindergarten students/new students to the district MUST BE fully registered with Rutherford Board of Education before we can accept registration requests. (If you need assistance with school registration, please contact 201-438-7675 x1112 or at registration@rutherfordschools.org)
The $50 non-refundable registration fee must be paid to complete your registration.
Incoming Kindergarten families or families new to our district do not have a PaySchoolsCentral account yet: You MUST pay the $50 registration fee by check.
Please drop off a check (made out to RBOE) to the registrar in the Board office, or use the drop box located on the Donaldson side of the building by the door. It's the Tax Collectors' box.
Please make sure to place your check in an envelope and write “Rutherford Board of Education - Bulldog Care” on the outside.
Inside the envelope be sure you include your child's name and what grade they are entering.
In August you will receive your child’s 5-digit student ID number. After which you will be able to create an account and pay tuition at www.payschoolscentral.com

Your selections will roll over month to month.
IF you need to make changes, you may do so between the 1st-15th of the month prior.
For example, changes to May can be made between April 1st-15th.
No changes accepted after the 15th of the month.
PaySchoolsCentral fees need 48 hours to post.
*Families who are in the process of registering or are newly registered for next year in grades K-3 cannot pay through PaySchoolsCentral. Please fill out the registration form online and drop off payment in the drop box located on the Donaldson Avenue side of Rutherford Borough Hall, 176 Park Avenue. Please make sure to place your check in an envelope and write Rutherford Board of Education on the outside. Inside the envelope be sure you include your child's name and what grade they are entering. Please note, we will only accept checks from those families who are NOT in the PaySchoolsCentral system.
