Explore the world of symmetry alongside Math Professor Dr. Alex Kontorovich in our upcoming webinar. Perfect for curious students who love shapes, this event reveals the hidden symmetries in our lives. Dr. Kontorovich, a Distinguished Professor at Rutgers University and a Distinguished Visiting Professor and Dean of Academic Content at the National Museum of Mathematics in New York City, will take us on a captivating journey into symmetry. Join us to discover the connection between symmetry and mathematics as well as the beauty and importance of symmetry in everyday life!
This event is free, open to RSM NY families, and recommended for students in grades 6 and up.

Gobble! Gobble! Gobble! Math Time!
This online event is a great way to sharpen your child’s math and critical thinking skills and to get into the holiday spirit! The Thanksgiving Math Feast will include math and logic problems. Our expert teachers and moderators will guide participants as they solve fun Thanksgiving-themed riddles.
This event is free, open to RSM families and their friends, and recommended for students in grades 3 - 5.

We are pleased to announce that RSM NY will host the AMC-8 and AMC-10 at RSM 1st Ave. Branch, 1745 First Ave, New York, NY, 10128
American Mathematics Competitions are multiple choice examinations in mathematics containing problems which can be understood and solved with algebra and geometry concepts. This math competition is the most authoritative competition examination designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills.

For participation in any contests at RSM NY, a Code-of-Conduct form signed by both Parent and Student is required. Please download, sign, scan into a PDF file, and upload it on your registration form.
For participation in the MOEMS contest, an additional form is required. The additional form should be signed by a school administrator in the Student's day school. After it is signed, it can also be submitted on the same registration form.

Registration for the 2024 Math Kangaroo Competition is now open. Registration is on a first come first served basis and will be open until spots run out. There are a very limited number of in-person seats available. Visit the Math Kangaroo Registration Page and register with any RSM Manhattan or RSM Brooklyn center with spots still available.

The Online Challenge will be held in February 2024. It serves as a qualifier for the International Math Contest: a challenging Olympiad in the tradition of European Mathematical Olympiads with complex problems that promote a deeper level of thinking for even the most advanced students.
