Y2 projects

Cycle City Groningen

The bicycle is is essential to Dutch culture, and is taken for granted as a form of transportation here and in other EU countries and some countries abroad.

In our project, we looked at cycling from three different angels: 1. We have made cycling profiles, describing the different experiences of cycling. 2. We have looked at the effect of cycling on the body and mental health. 3. We have set up an eco-friendly food deliverable company, with zero waste!

Experimental Philosophy

Experimental Philosophy consists of researching philosophical problems or dilemmas, and finding a way to test this problem using statistics. The result is that a philosophical problem can actually be made testable.

Frisia Simulata

Vikings, wide-spread trade and a dynamic relationship with the coast: all these things signify the interesting history of Frisia. Through simulations and research, we hope to show you the complexity of the Frisian coastal history. Find out more about this project on:

Narratives in Conflict

As individuals, communities, and nations we make sense of events with narratives. When our narratives are in conflict, the result can be personal alienation, social oppression, even war. While research methods like oral history and documentary cannot resolve conflicts, they can help clarify conflicting voices. With clarity, the search for truth can begin. This project made use of oral history and documentary methods to gather, analyze, and present different conflicting narratives.

Pathway to Mars

Welcome to our sustainable village on Mars. On our interactive website, you can find information on the different parts that are important to the discovery of Mars.

The main focus of our expedition to Mars is to establish a livable, healthy and well-organized society on Mars. This small society's target will be to grow, flourish and resist any form of known and unknown threats so that is a safe haven for the Martian baby. Our website gives all information for students, (possible) astronauts and other interested folks. Information can be found on the topics of health, psychology, housing, food, education, law and order, economics and finance, as well as general information about Mars.

Live presentations at 11;30, 13:00 and 14:30. Click on the black buttons on the Mars website under PPD schedule!
