2/24 & 25: Read in the civics books (pages 294-297) and complete the web. Students should write at least three notes for each bubble based on the reading.On the back of the web, you will need to complete the “Primary Sources” Activity on page 296 and the Section 1 Assessment on page 297 (1-3 all).
2/26 & 27: Notes on Sections 2-4 about state government Jigsaw activity. Get your group from the sub, read, take notes, and then get the notes on the other two sections from other students.
If you were absent, choose one section (Pages 298-304, 305-309, or 310-314) and take notes. Get notes on the other 2 sections from a classmate.
2/28: Finish the Jigsaw and then play "Power Play" on iCivics. Write me a 1 paragraph email explaining what you learned from the game.

10/23 & 24: 1) Read pages 173-178 in Finding Katahdin and take notes on what the 20th Maine were like and what the experience was like for those men.
2) Watch the video summarizing what happened on Little Round Top "The Stand That Saved The Nation".
3) Write 2-3 narrative paragraphs from the perspective of a soldier of the 20th Maine during the Battle of Gettysburg at Little Round Top. What did they see, feel, hear? What was going through their mind?

First Unit: Early Mainers
Goal: Understand how Maine's physical geography and resources affected the Wabanaki and European settlers.

9/4 & 5: Evaluating sources using Maine Memory Network and examining Wabanaki artifacts
9/6: Finish your NHD interest survey from last Friday and then fill in this websearch if you are still looking for ideas. (Hint: Go to "File->Make a copy" to add it to your drive and type on it. Homework: Complete the project proposal form by next Friday 9/13.
