Deleting Emails
Have a lot of emails and want to delete more than one at a time?
Have a lot of emails and want to delete more than one at a time?
To delete a whole range of emails (emails that are next to each other)
- Hold the Shift key
- Click an email near the top of the list
- Scroll or use arrow keys to click an email further down the list to highlight
- Once the range/group of emails are highlighted, click Delete
To delete multiple emails that are not next to each other
- Hold the Command key
- Click to select/highlight particular emails
- Once emails are selected/highlighted, click Delete
If you’ve set up folders, click Control-click on the folder and delete all in that folder
** HINT: Change view options or use Search to sort and view mail differently in order to delete a range of emails
Emails aren’t really deleted until you empty your trash. (Select all and delete in order to delete immediately and create storage space; deleted emails will automatically delete in 30 days.)
