Welcome to our JOIN BAND webpage!
If you're interested in joining band we usually meet Monday and Wednesday for our Concert Band and Tuesday and Thursday for our Wind Ensemble. Rehearsals start right after school until about 3:35pm in the Music room (235).
Concert Band
Concert Band is an open group with students from Gr 9-12 with a variety of experience. Students in this level will be performing at the B200 level. Did you used to play an instrument and you're interested in picking it up again? This is a great place to start! Older students will help mentor younger students in a collaborative, friendly setting. This year we plan to enter both the Sudbury Music Festival and the Northern Ontario Music Festival.
Wind Ensemble
Wind Ensemble is an invitation only group. This group focusses on music at the B300 level and requires prior approval from Mr. Jensen through either an invitation or an audition. While most of the students are in Grades 11-12, students from Grades 9 or 10 with a high degree of proficiency may be asked to play with or audition for the group. This group will be performing at both the Sudbury Music Festival and the Northern Ontario Music Festival.
If you'd like more information please feel free to contact Mr. Jensen or Ms. Kirkham:
