The Joan Mantle Music Trust was established in 2009 to help refresh, modernize and revitalize school music programs in the Rainbow District School Board. It is the goal of the trust, with your help and generosity, to replace, where necessary, musical instruments that have given such great pleasure beyond their serviceable life.
Over the years, the Lockerby Music Department has been fortunate enough to have received a grant on three occasions now. The money has helped us purchase many new brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. It has also helped us, through the combined efforts of the Joan Mantle Music Trust and the Sudbury Guitar Society, to purchase a class set of classical guitars.
