HISTORY DAY IN THE FARM

When I was studying Animal Nutrition, all the students practiced on a Cow for production of Meat. We also have to practice for “Insemination and Topizar”; in English this means to remove the horns.

We were in the corral waiting to enter to work with the cows, when the teacher said, “Be careful, because this cow is angry.” I had friends who were afraid of the Zebu cow, because these type of animals have a very strong character. The teacher said, “Do not worry. I’m not nervous. I like this angry cow.”

MY friend shouted, “Oh my God! The cow is coming!! We are all afraid and we all run. The poor cow did not know why we rare running away. In fact, the cow was more afraid of us than we were afraid of the cow. This was fine, because the teacher said “We are not worried. I like this cow, and the teacher ran too.

After, we laughed when we saw the teacher run. After this, we took the cow and did the procedure.

The animals react to noise and are scared. The teacher should keep them calm and convey security and tranquility to the animal.

The etiology of the animals is very complex. If they are feeling an invasion of their space, their hormones change the cycles, and this can change their normal functions, and lower their production. This is a problem for the cowboy, because he gets less money, and this affects his income.

I like the animals that are very complex, because they are very intelligent and their organs function perfectly. The function in their brain could be said to be the equal of humans. The sensor and their signals to all the organs in their body is equal to humans. The entire time that I worked with this animal I learned lot about their comportment. In different situations and with each one involved, the hypothalamus commands the functioning associations of the hormones. It is different for a pregnant cow, and it is different for producing more milk and more meat.
