LAPTOP LENDING LIBRARY PROGRAM

WE HAVE LAUNCHED A LAPTOP LENDING LIBRARY PROGRAM FOR REVERE ADULT RESIDENTS ENROLLED IN OUR PROGRAMS. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A COMPUTER OR LAPTOP AT HOME, YOU CAN BORROW ONE FROM US.

This program is for students who need the technology to complete classes at home.

Este programa es para los estudiantes que necesiten tecnología para completar sus clases en casa.  

The Laptop Lending Program will open to Revere residents ONLY on a first come, first serve basis. You have to be registered in a program for more than a week at Revere Community School (RCS) of approved partners.

We have 60 laptop to lend out starting this week. Student can borrow a laptop for the duration of the program or class they are enrolled in and return it a as soon as the program or session ends or they withdraw from the class. Each borrower will signed a lending and return policy agreement and will be responsible for caring and returning the device on the specified date.​  If there are no students is on the waiting list when they laptop is returned, the borrower may renew the check out for the next class they are enroll in.   Borrower who did not adhere to the return policy will forfeit their eligibility to participate in the lending program. 

The purpose of Revere Community School (RCS) Computer Lending program is to provide a mobile computer resource and devices to RCS adult learners who may not own a PC and/or laptop computers and are in need of a computer for learning English language, citizenship, computer and High School Diploma. Adult learners from our partner organizations, WEE and MCAIR, CONNECT will be eligible to participate in this program. 

 The Laptop lending Library goal is to enhance learning opportunities of adults by focusing on the application of skills in information retrieval, searching strategies, research skills, and critical thinking, and to promote life-long learning.

THIS PROGRAM IS FUNDED BY THE CITY OF REVERE THROUGH THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG)
