High school teachers use a variety of instructional techniques for classes to include live Google Meets, pre recorded lessons, small group instruction, Khan Academy, Code HS, CommonLit and many other programs/platforms....
All high school teachers utilize Google classroom daily to post lessons, communicate with students and monitor completion of assignments.
High school teachers collaborate with In Class Resource teachers to ensure appropriate differentiation of resources to meet IEP requirements.
High school teachers use virtual field trips to enhance the learning experience.
High school teachers provide alternate assignments, when appropriate, to allow student choice in learning.
High school teachers encourage cooperative learning by utilizing student break out sessions in Zoom.
High school teachers engage students by incorporating inquiry based instruction where investigating, exploring and reporting are encouraged.
Administration monitors Google classrooms daily to ensure best practices are implemented consistently.
Final exams have been cancelled. Time previously scheduled to administer the exams will be dedicated to individual opportunities for “Conferencing, Catch-up, & Corrections” in each of their classes.
The grading process has been amended to maximize student success. No failing grades will be lower than a 50 for the fourth marking period.
