National Beta Club

National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. And for more than 80 years, it has prepared today's students to be tomorrow's leaders.

CURRENT EVENTS

Recently, our Junior Beta Club participated in the 2021-2022 Louisiana State Convention. Due to COVID, most of our competitions were held virtually, but several of our students competed.

Congratulations to Lily Vance! She placed 5th in the 7th Grade, Language Arts competition.

QUALIFICATIONS

Students in grades 4-8 that met the requirements of Forest Hill Junior Beta Club are invited to join. Student membership is a privilege that only qualifying students achieve. In order to be invited to join Junior Beta for the 2021-2022 school year, students of Forest Hill Junior High had to:

  1. Have A or AB honor roll for the last school year,

  2. Received Mastery or Advanced in all categories (ELA, Math, SC, & SS) on the LEAP test*,

  3. Have NOT received a behavior referral for any reason during the last school year,

  4. Shown true leadership and service qualities, and

  5. Be recommended by a FHJH faculty member.


Upon joining Junior Beta, students will be expected to:

  1. Maintain at least AB honor roll each Nine Weeks,

  2. Earn Mastery or Advanced in all categories (ELA, Math, SC, & SS) on the LEAP test,

  3. Attend the monthly meeting held each month,

  4. Complete AT LEAST 2 pre-approved service hours per semester (4 per year),

  5. Attend sponsored extracurricular activities, and

  6. Maintain a positive attitude and behavior.
