We are proud to be HOME OF THE BULLDOGS.
"Clyde the Bulldog" has been our official mascot since 2017. He is named after prominent community leader, politician, and nursery owner, Clyde Holloway. Mr. Holloway was instrumental in reopening the school after its closure in the 1980s. The name "Clyde" is used in honor of his commitment to the school and community.
Over the last few years, Forest Hill Junior High has embraced a strong culture of growth being unafraid to "take chances, make mistakes, and get messy." This school is unafraid to try new things and is open with its stakeholders in discussing what is working and what needs to change. FHJH has focused on growth mindset over the last few years and is committed to improving its facilities, extracurriculars, and course programming.
