Retake Process

• If a student earns any grade lower than a 70% on a knowledge check, quiz, or test, they are expected to attend tutorials to complete corrections/retakes.

  1. Knowledge Checks - students may be provided in class time to retake (time permitting); however, students may be required to attend tutorials to complete the retake. The retake must occur prior to taking the unit assessment.

  2. Quizzes (DCAs) & Unit Assessments (tests) - students must attend tutorials to individually complete an open-note correction form.

     • All knowledge check retakes and quiz/test corrections must be completed within one week of receiving the grade.

• If a student earns any grade lower than a 70% on an assignment not listed above (knowledge check, quiz, test) the student has until the end of the six week marking period to correct the assignment.

Late Work Policy

• Work submitted within 1 class period after deadline may earn a max grade of 85%

• Work submitted > 1 class period after deadline but within 1 week of the past due date may earn a max grade of 70%

• Work submitted > 1 week of the past due date may earn a max grade of 50%

• Late/missing work will not be accepted once the marking period ends.

• If a student fails the marking period, he/she will be given mandatory remediation assignments to be completed during scheduled tutorial times after conferencing with his/her teacher.
