Bio: Coach Mark Cornejo is entering his 13th year as an educator and coach dedicated to developing student-athletes on and off the field. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Wayland Baptist University and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Webster University.
A United States Army Veteran who served as a Combat Medic, Coach Cornejo brings strong leadership and discipline to his coaching philosophy. He is committed to building a program culture rooted in the LDRSHIP values: Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage.
Coach Cornejo’s mission is to develop well-rounded student-athletes who succeed in athletics, academics, and life, preparing them to become leaders of character beyond their playing careers.

Assistant Athletics Coordinator
Bio: Coach Williams is entering her 10th year teaching and coaching at Ridgeview Middle School and her 12th year in education. She attended Texas State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and was a four-year letter winner on the women’s basketball team. She later earned her Master of Education in Sports Administration from Concordia University Texas. Coach Williams is passionate about sports and enjoys sharing her knowledge and love of athletics with the next generation.

Physical Education Coordinator
Bio: Coach Alvarado is entering her 4th year at Ridgeview Middle School and 16th year overall. She has taught and coached at every level from elementary to high school. Coach Alvarado was born and raised in New Jersey where she attended Fairleigh Dickinson University-College at Florham. While pursuing her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Teaching, she played 4 years of collegiate basketball. She is married to her husband Joe, and they have 2 children, Joey and Callie.

Girls Athletics Coach
Bio: Coach Cassidy has been coaching all levels of youth and middle school sports for many years. Her coaching philosophy is built around developing the fundamentals, motivating to bring out the highest possible individual effort and requiring a team approach from all players. Coach Cassidy focuses on embracing the process of growth, which entails the need to focus on how to get better every day in order to succeed later. This will be her sixth year at Ridgeview & eighteenth year in teaching. Go Panthers!

Boys Athletics Coach
Bio: Coach Cascio is entering his 2nd year at Ridgeview, and 5th year as a coach. Prior to his time here at Ridgeview, Coach Cascio earned his Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and his Master's in teaching Physical Education from McKendree University. He is originally from the Chicago area, where he coached high school defensive backs in football for 3 seasons. He moved to Texas in order to work with and develop the best athletes in the country.

Bio: Coach Cruz has been teaching for the past four years and coaching at Ridgeview for one year. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University and is passionate about helping students grow both academically and athletically. Jonathan enjoys building meaningful relationships with his students and athletes while creating a positive and supportive environment. Outside of school, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jackalin, and values the importance of family and community.

Bio: Coach Barnhart is entering her 6th year coaching and her 17th year in education. She attended the University of Missouri, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Anthropology and played soccer. She later earned her Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas-Arlington. Coach Barnhart is passionate about sports and enjoys sharing her knowledge and love of athletics with the next generation, emphasizing growth mindset, positive attitude, and effort in her athletes.
Outside of school, her three children — Peighton, Charlie, and Jace — and three dogs — Lani, Dozer, and Bo — keep her busy. As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors, playing sports, and traveling.
