TAG Math
We will meet daily where students will come to my classroom (portable 18-B) for their accelerated math instruction. The 4th grade students will be divided into 2 groups and will receive the same amount of instruction time and content. We will continue learning the second half of the 4th grade math curriculum (taught in 3rd grade TAG Math) and ALL of 5th grade's. Please reach out if you have any questions, or concerns, regarding your child's learning in math. Current Unit Learning Link.
CBA- The Curriculum Based Assessment is an online assessment where students will demonstrate mastery of unit skills and concepts. The dates for the unit's CBA will be posted on my website every nine weeks.

Talent Development
Students in 4th grade will receive cross curricular enrichment as well as social and emotional support from me. They will explore various topics and use critical thinking skills with Depth and Complexity that will move students towards expert knowledge of content. Additionally, the students will complete an Advanced Level Products and Performances and participate in the Spring Showcase. More information to come in the Spring!
While at home, encourage students to conduct research. When they have a "wonder" or are curious about something you can help them find a resource online then let them take notes on what they are learning. The notes can be on paper, digital, or even recorded. It doesn't have to be a major project. The best skill for them to work on right now is: What is a fact? and How do I put that fact into my own words? Summarizing is a higher level skill and therefore will need ample time to practice.
