Grading Policy

Our goal at LME is for students to learn concepts being presented in class, regardless of the late work. A deduction for late work may be given but will not exceed 10 points, and deductions should never push grades to a “failing” range. The focus will be on finding ways to support students in being successful in work completion by teaching and practicing strategies that will strengthen student accountability, ownership and executive functioning. 

If a student receives below a 75% on daily work, or below 80% on an assessment, the student will be given an opportunity to receive a reteach and retake/redo the assignment/assessment. The original grade will not be replaced but will be averaged along with the rest of the student's daily work/assessment grading category.
