We also have some important announcements:
If your child loves to sing and perform, then the Stallion Choir is the place for them. Stallion Choir is only for 3rd, 4th and 5th graders. We meet on Thursdays from 2:50-4:00, all year, beginning September 12th. This group will perform at various required events throughout the year (district/campus:November 5th, December 6th, April TBA) and will work on a major musical from October-the end of April (performance April 30th, 2019). In order to have a successful year, we are looking for members who follow all Stallion expectations on a regular basis. This means that selected members will be expected to do their job as a student, be at ALL the dates mentioned above, and have a way to go home on time after each rehearsal. This group will be capped at 90 members. By submitting this form your child is APPLYING to be a part of this years Stallion Choir. We will notify everyone whether or not you are a Stallion Choir member of the 2019-20 school year by September 3rd . Applications WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED PAST FRIDAY, AUGUST 30th at 9:00 am. *If you have multiple children, please submit a separate form for each child.*

Hello Everyone,
We had an awesome first two days of school. We have loved getting to know your children and we can't wait for all of the amazing things we will do this year.
On top of all the awesome learning we are doing there are some important dates we want you to be aware of:
Week of Feb. 17th
Well, I guess technically it's really the week of Feb. 19th...
Hello parents- happy Wednesday to us all! Please be sure to checkout individual classroom information by clicking on the teacher names above- lots of learning happening in 5th grade! What a fun fun Friday we had! A big, warm "heart-felt" thank you to our home room Moms for all your hard work - the snacks, decorations and photos all made for a truly enjoyable 5th grade Valentine's Day!
Very Important Information:
We are super excited to invite you to participate in Sommer Elementary Schools first ever Youth Code Jam which will take place on Saturday, March 7th from 1-4pm. A Community Code Jam is a hands-on workshop bringing together students, parents and volunteer programmers to learn and grow with code. Registration for students is now open! Space is limited so register soon. http://bit.ly/SOEScodejam
In order to make this event a success we need volunteers to lead stations. Our hope is that you will spread the word at your jobs and bring/send a team with you to lead one station. Our primary goal is to expose our students to coding. You don’t have to know how to code in order to volunteer!
Don’t have a station idea? That's ok! We can provide an activity for you. Have your own idea of what you want to do? Great! We love that too.
If you are interested please fill out the google form. Feel free to contact Danielle Jackson, Danielle_Jackson@roundrockisd.org for any other questions. Volunteers sign up here: http://bit.ly/SOESCodejam
