Monitoring
Monitoring the impact of a careers programme involves several key steps to ensure it effectively supports students’ career development.
Use the Gatsby Benchmarks:
These eight benchmarks provide a framework for high-quality careers guidance.
Surveys and Feedback:
Collect feedback from students, parents, teachers, and employers through surveys, interviews, or focus groups.
Destination Data:
Track students’ post-secondary destinations, such as further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Careers and Enterprise Company - Hampshire Hub provide an objective evaluation of the programme.
Destinations
In England You must then do one of the following until you’re 18:
stay in full-time education, for example at a college
spend 20 hours or more a week working or volunteering, while in part-time education or training
Most of our pupils go on to college and we are lucky to have many institutions that pupils can choose from depending on where they live, the next level of course that is going to be suitable for them or in some cases the only place that offers a very specific course.
Attendance at different colleges varies from year to year, sometimes dependent on the number of pupils who are based in Romsey or Southampton and therefore often choose to stay nearer to home for choice of college.
