School Supplies...

Here is a link to the supply list.

Please note, this is a generic supply list with the basic 6th grade supplies.  Each teacher also has a class list that will be provided to students during the first week of school.  Students do not need to bring the entire supply list on the first day of class.  I do not have the space to store everything.  Feel free to send any communal supplies like tissue or printer paper.  The student's binder should be stocked with paper, dividers, and a zipper pouch with some pens and pencils. The rest of the supplies should be stored at home until needed.  Students will also need a reusable water bottle.

A Note on Communication

I believe communication is one key to a successful school year. I request that students take on the personal responsibility of speaking to me first regarding any questions about assignments and/or discrepancies in grading.  I can only address needs or problems I am aware of.

I am available to all students before school, during the school day, at recess, lunch and after school. 

If the student and I are unable to reach agreement, then I will initiate parental contact so we can discuss the issue further and resolve any confusion.

To prepare for middle school, students need to learn the skill of self-advocacy, this step will help them become better advocates for themselves.
