What is Google Classroom?
Google Classroom is an online google platform that Rockingham County Schools is using for students in grades 3-5. Multiple classes can be set up and managed through a dashboard where students can view teacher announcements and assignments along with due dates and upcoming events. Teachers can ask other teachers to be collaborators in their Google classroom to meet all the diverse needs of their students. Students can use the platform to "show" their knowledge through uploading videos, images, drawings and artwork, text documents, and links. Students can also use all the G Suite for Education applications including Docs, Drive, Forms, Slides, Spreadsheets, and more. Teachers can also grade assignments and give feedback on student documents. Additionally, parents can connect with their email and receive information on missing work, upcoming assignments and announcements.

How do I help my child Log In?
Log In HERE.
Use your Rockingham County Schools email address. (example: rb12345@rock.k12.nc.us)
Student passwords are set to the student birthday- (Month, Day, Year, r, ?) MMDDYYYYr? (ex: If student birthday is February 19, 2003 then their password would be 02192003r?)
Once logged in select from the google apps menu located in the upper right hand corner and identified as a 6 black dot grid.
Scroll through apps until you locate google classroom.
Log In with class code provided by the classroom Teacher.
