What is Canvas?
Canvas is our district Learning Management System for students in grades 6 - 12. Students will receive their daily instruction, announcements, assignments, class resources, and grades on their Chromebook through this system. Canvas allows parents to connect to their students and allows for access to classroom announcements, assignments due dates and grades. Students and parents can access Canvas 24/7 through any device and/or mobile app.

How do I help my child Log In?
Log In through the NCEdCloud portal- HERE.
Use Unique student ID number (UID) and assigned password
Select the red canvas icon from the dashboard.
Once in Canvas select the class from the student dashboard.

If your child does not remember their username or password for NCEdCloud please contact:

Report issues from In Canvas:
You can submit a HELP ticket directly from Canvas for support. Please include as much detail as possible (ex: assignment, description of what is happening, screenshots, contact information.
Contact Teacher or School:
Often issues with canvas can be resolved by the teacher. The issues of not being able to submit work or see content is often controlled by dates and settings within canvas by the classroom teacher.

Students should download the Canvas Student app from the app store. (Red Canvas Icon)
Under "Find School" button, it will prompt you to search for your school or district- Type in "Rockingham County Schools" and select- "Rockingham County Schools- Students/Teachers"
You should see the NCEdCloud portal- Sign in with your unique ID (UID) and password.
