This scholarship aims to support and encourage Native American girls who are seniors graduating from a high school in the Public Schools of Robeson County and are committed to furthering their education. It seeks to provide financial assistance to students who demonstrate academic excellence, a commitment to their communities, respect for Indigenous traditions, and honor for the Creator.
Eligibility Criteria:
Be a current female high school senior enrolled in the Public Schools of Robeson County.
Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (weighted or unweighted) or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Be a member of a tribal nation.
Demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities, community service, participation in
cultural activities or leadership roles.
Completion of this application before 5 pm on May 1, 2025.

The scholarship of $500 is intended to support high school students in their senior year who have demonstrated a commitment to community service, academic excellence, and strong character. We encourage students who are active in their community, maintain good grades, and have a passion for helping others to apply.
Eligibility Requirements:
Current High School Student:
Must be enrolled in an accredited high school program during the application period.
Community Service:
Applicants must have a record of at least 20 hours of community service in the past year. This could include volunteering with local organizations, tutoring peers, participating in service clubs, or contributing to charitable causes.
Academic Performance:
Students must maintain a [minimum GPA of 3.0 or B]
Recommendations:
Applicants must submit two (2) letters of recommendation from credible sources. At least one recommendation should be from a teacher or school counselor, and the other can be from a community leader, employer, or volunteer coordinator familiar with your work.
The Nurse Corps Scholarship Program provides scholarships to nursing students in exchange for a minimum two-year, full-time service commitment (or part-time equivalent) at an eligible health care facility with a critical shortage of nurses. A complete understanding of the commitment to serve at a Critical Shortage Facility and the financial, legal, and other consequences of failing to perform the commitment is critical to successfully completing the mandatory service obligation associated with a Nurse Corps Scholarship award.
Eligibility:
Students accepted or enrolled at an accredited school of nursing located in the United States or territory, pursuing a nursing degree or certificate program.
Types of eligible nursing programs include:
• Diploma in Nursing
• Associate degree in Nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing
• Graduate-level nurse practitioner
• Graduate level advanced registered nurse
• Bridge Nursing Graduate-level Programs (registered nurse to Bachelor of Science in nursing, registered nurse to Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioners, Direct Entry Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioners)
This scholarship is for students who plan to attend RCC. All completed applications must be returned to Mrs. Sampson in the SPHS guidance office by May 2, 2025.
Robeson Community College Foundation, Inc. will again be awarding seven one-year scholarships for 2025 graduating high school seniors. One scholarship will be awarded to a graduate of each of the six high schools in Robeson County and one to a graduate of Robeson Community College’s Adult High School.
The guidelines set forth by the RCC Foundation Board of Directors are as follows:
1. The student must have a minimum of a B high school grade point average and provide the Foundation a current copy of their high transcript or proof of grade point average.
2. The student must have submitted an application for admission to Robeson Community College prior to the announcement of the scholarship availability.
3. The student must complete the RCC assessment and placement procedures, have been approved for a curriculum program, and have completed the enrollment process by August 1, 2025, to receive the scholarship.
4. The student must maintain academic eligibility as outlined in the RCC student handbook.
5. The value of the scholarship is $1,000.00 per recipient to be used during the 2025-2026 academic year. The disbursement will be split between the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters.
6. The recipient of the award will be announced at Awards Day at his or her respective high school.

Marqueise "Queise" Coleman was a dedicated athlete, who was attending Fayetteville State University with dreams of making it to the NFL. Queise was a leader on and off the field, a mentor to younger students and athletes. He was focused on his future, goal driven, and ready to take on sports as a profession. Queise's life was cut way too short, at the young age of 19, he was taken from his family, friends, and all who loved him.
In his honor, we want to ensure that student athletes can continue their education and reach for their dreams without financial barriers.

The Public Schools of Robeson County Battle of the Books Scholarship was established in 2023 by Dr. Etta Baldwin to honor and recognize a graduate from the Public Schools of Robeson County as she/he continues his/her education at a two or four year institution of higher learning beyond high school. This scholarship will be presented in June 2023. The value of the scholarship is $500.00. The recipient will be determined by the scholarship committee.
Eligibility
1. Be accepted at a two or four-year post-secondary educational institution.
2. Submit a completed application for the scholarship.
3. Applicants must have participated and competed in the Public Schools of Robeson County Battle of the Books program at least one school year within their academic career.

The Association on American Indian Affairs has been providing Native American student scholarships since 1947 and provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate Native American students who are citizens of their Tribal Nation – whether or not their Nation is recognized by the federal government.
The Association's Scholarships are provided to students twice per year until they graduate, as long as they maintain a 2.5 GPA and attend full-time. Our mission is to support students who are connected to their Tribal Nation and Indian Country and wish to utilize their degree to serve their Nations.
Be enrolled with your respective Tribe, either federally recognized or non-federally recognized Tribe, from the continental US or Alaska.
Submit a copy of Tribal enrollment (there is no minimum blood quantum requirement for eligibility). This can be a copy of the student's Tribal I.D. card or a copy of an official letter from the Tribe. You must be directly recognized as a citizen or member of your Tribal Nation.
Be enrolled as full-time student.
Have a minimum 2.5 out of 4.0 GPA.
Submit a current class schedule and transcript.
Attend an accredited institution seeking an Associate's Degree or higher (the Association does not fund certificate programs or seminaries).
Provide essays described in the application that show the student’s connection to their Tribal Nation and Indian Country.
