The Golden LEAF Scholarship is designed to assist current North Carolina high school seniors and North Carolina community college transfer students. Recipients must be from certain rural counties, plan to attend a participating North Carolina college or university, demonstrate financial need, and express an intent to return to a rural North Carolina community upon college graduation. The scholarship is funded by the Golden LEAF Foundation through a grant to the North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority.
Eligibility:
Be a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes and reside in a qualifying rural North Carolina County as identified by the Golden LEAF Foundation

Be a graduating North Carolina high school senior or a currently enrolled North Carolina community college transfer student enrolling full-time (degree seeking) in the fall at a participating North Carolina public or private college/university
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
Have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) Expected Family Contribution (EFC) that does not exceed the maximum permitted by Golden LEAF
Express an intent to return to a rural North Carolina community upon college graduation
Be a U.S. citizen;
Be an entering freshman;
Have a high school GPA of 3.0 or better;
Have a combined verbal/math score of 1,000 or more on the SAT or a composite score of 21 or more on the ACT;
Attend one of the eighteen 1890 Historically Black Land-Grant Institutions; (NC= NC A&T University)
Study agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or other related disciplines;
Demonstrate leadership and community service;
Apply for admission to the institution(s) of his or her choice;
Submit an official transcript with the school seal and an authorized official's signature;
Sign all applications (original signature only);

Up to ten scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship award will be between $1,000 – $5,000
ELIGIBILITY
Must be pursuing, or plan to pursue, a degree with a focus on cybersecurity, information assurance or similar field in the fall of 2024.

• Applicants must be completing or have completed high school successfully with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Applicants must be accepted as a full-time student at a college or university for the upcoming academic semester. If scholarship money is awarded, this is the only program that will receive the funds on behalf of the applicant.
• Applicants must plan to pursue studies at a North Carolina community college or university, and be majoring in a STEM program or technical skills program.
• Applicants must plan to pursue studies in a field associated with STEM, Mechancial Integrity/Quality Assurance, technical or operations manufacturing.
• Applicants must be a citizen or legal permanent resident of the United States.
• Preference will be given to students who attended high school in Bladen, Robeson, or Cumberland counties.
Gamma Psi Chapter of North Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa, an organization for women educators awards three scholarships of $2000 each to qualifying seniors on track to graduate and planning to attend a 4-year college or university.

The Clare Johnson Marley-Mary Earle Berger Fine Arts Scholarship is open to any student who is currently graduating from an accredited public high school in North Carolina and who expects to enroll in a four-year college or university next fall, and who is declaring as his/her major in an area of the fine arts. Specific eligibility requirements are: Academic rank in top 20% of class, Minimum SAT score of 1220 or ACT composite score of 25, good character and participation in extracurricular activities (school and community). The Clare Johnson Marley - Mary Earle Berger Fine Arts Scholarship 2025 Application
Another scholarship sponsored by our organization is the North Carolina Alpha Delta Kappa Student Achievement Scholarship. It is also for $2000 and is open to a male or female, on track to graduate and planning to attend a 2-year or 4-year college or university. Specific eligibility requirements are: SAT score of 990 to 1130 or ACT composite score of 20 to 24; unweighted GPA of 2.5 to 3.5; good character, integrity, leadership potential and service to school, community and church. Students should apply for this scholarship through the North Carolina Community Foundation at www.nccommunityfoundation.org . See flyer.
More than 130 donor-funded scholarships, totaling over $600,000, are available for students pursuing a bachelor’s or associate degree in welding or a related discipline. Scholarships range from $2,500-$7,000+. Applicants are required to submit two references and official transcripts.

Applicant must have an official transcript set my email or mail directly from the school or third-party transcript provider.
Some National Scholarships require demonstrated financial need, which means the cost of attendance exceeds the Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as found on the FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR). The SAR must be submitted in addition to cost of attendance documentation to be eligible for these scholarships.

Approximately 130 NCCF scholarships using the NCCF Universal Scholarships Application will open for 2025 applications on Jan. 7 and close on March 3. About a dozen other scholarships have separate applications with different due dates. You must apply to each of those scholarships individually within our Scholarships Portal.

Each year, Mountaire awards $2,500 scholarships to dozens of children and grandchildren of their employees, growers, and grain producers. Applications will open January 1st for the 2025 academic year, and close on March 3rd, 2025.

Open to any high school senior attending an accredited four-year college or university in the fall. These scholarships are valued at $8,000 each.
J.W. Hunt Scholarship
Open to any high school senior attending an accredited four-year college or university, with preferential considerations given to students pursuing an agri-business curriculum. Interested students must complete the Agri-Business Scholarship Application. This scholarship is valued at $8,000.
J. McN. Gillis Scholarship
Open to any high school senior and a non-traditional student planning to attend a two-year college or technical school. This scholarship is valued at $2,000.
Eligibility:
The entrant must be a member of Lumbee River EMC or the child/legal ward of a member that lives on our lines. Therefore, regardless of residency, you are eligible if your parents are Lumbee River EMC members (the account must be in their name).
The North Carolina American Indian Fund Scholarship program will assist American Indian students in obtaining higher education by providing scholarships to students who demonstrate a commitment to the American Indian community, extracurricular and volunteer involvement, financial need, and academic success. The scholarship may be used towards any need listed under the school’s total cost of attendance. The student is responsible for all other charges. This is a one-time payment ($1,000).

Eligibility Requirements
1. Must attend a high school located in the United States.

7. The scholarship cannot be used to attend a community college, junior college, or online institution.

9. Must work 240 hours from January 1, 2025 until September 1, 2025. Work must be regularly scheduled employment performed under supervision for compensation. Employment can be full-time or part-time.
10. Applicant’s Adjusted Gross Household Income reported for 2023 Federal Income Tax Purposes must not have exceeded $100,000. “Household Income” is defined as the total income received by all adult members of a household living under the same roof.
11. Applicants are not required to provide FAFSA information. Finalists must provide the FAFSA Summary showing the SAI.
12. Must apply for Federal and State grants if eligible.
The Guarantee Program is a competitive and selective program for high-achieving students entering UNCG. Students in the Guarantee Scholars Program will be held to additional expectations.
Eligibility:
Must be a North Carolina Resident who is eligible for FAFSA
Recent high school graduate (within the last 8 months) admitted to UNC Greensboro as a first-year student pursuing their first undergraduate degree
Must have at least a 3.5 weighted high school GPA

Complete the 2025 Herter-O’Neal Scholarship application for $750 towards books and tuition. The Herter O’Neal Scholarship is awarded each year to honor the work and dedication of Edith Herter and Frances O’Neal, founding members of the N.C. Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals Association.
This scholarship is offered to anyone pursuing a college degree (Associate or Bachelor’s) in business or a business-related field of study or enrolled in a diploma program that results in a degree (Associate or Bachelor’s), with the exception of current members or those eligible to become members of the NCCEAPA.

The Ron M. Ferebee Memorial Scholarship ($250.00) was established in May 2012 to honor his life and legacy as an outstanding architectural drafting teacher. He wanted his students to be marketable and taught them to build a foundation of success that would carry them throughout their lifetime.
