The 2024 scholarship award will be made to one deserving female high school senior to cover educational cost up to and not to exceed $125,000 total. The award is targeted to honor a female high school senior who exhibits personal integrity and excellence through academic achievement and community involvement, and the awardee must demonstrate a moderate to significant need for financial assistance in attaining her higher educational goals. The recipient may complete her undergraduate studies in the field of her choice at an accredited four-year college or university of her choice.
Eligibility:
Must be a female senior high school senior who qualifies for free or reduced fare lunch based upon U.S. Federal guidelines. NOTE: Applicants do not have to receive free or reduced fare lunch, they simply need to meet the qualifications for it.
Must be graduating in May or June of the award year (2023) and enrolling as a full-time student at an accredited college or university in the fall of the same year.
Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
Must demonstrate a moderate to significant financial need.
Must demonstrate a commitment to community service and involvement.
Affiliation with any members of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated or any of its auxiliary organizations is not a requirement.
The Florence Kidder Memorial Scholarship (FKMS) honors the memory of the first president of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in the State of North Carolina, Florence Hill Kidder.
Six scholarships will be awarded in one year: First place - $3,000, second place - $1,000, third place - $800 and three fourth places - $400.
Scholarships are not renewable.
Awarded to a high school senior who plans to attend a post-secondary institution in North Carolina.

Lumbee Guaranty Bank has established a scholarship program to assist high school seniors from select high schools who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. If selected as a recipient, the student will receive a $1,000 award.
Eligibility:
Be a graduating high school senior from St. Pauls High School – St. Pauls, NC
Plan to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of:

The purpose of the Michael A. DeMayo Arrive Alive® Scholarship is to create unique and compelling peer to peer messaging that speaks to teenagers in a clear and convincing fashion. The facts and statistics have not changed over the years but the means of communicating and encouraging fellow teens to abstain from drinking and driving as well as distracted driving requires thought and creativity. Presentations must be received in the following form: Essay 750-1,000 words - Billboard 14’ x 48’ horizontal board lay out Brochure/Booklet TikTok Produce a TikTok video with the hashtag #DeMayoScholarship. A jump drive with the video file will also need to be turned in with your application.
Eligibility:
Must be a current high school senior who attends school and lives in the following North Carolina counties: Mecklenburg, Gaston, Catawba, Union, Cabarrus, Cleveland, Lincoln, Rowan, Caldwell, Stanly, Iredell, Alexander, Burke, Robeson, Scotland, Richmond, Anson and Cumberland.
Must be accepted for full-time enrollment or planning to pursue a degree at an accredited four-year college or university. Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
This scholarship aims to honor the life of Sunni E. Fagan by supporting students who are passionate about music. Any high school senior or undergraduate student who is an underrepresented minority pursuing music or music education may apply for this scholarship ($1,000).

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria to be considered for a Teaching Fellows award:
Be accepted to enroll in an approved educator preparation program leading to initial licensure in an eligible area at one of the ten Teaching Fellows partner institutions.
Be one of the following:
A North Carolina high school senior
A student applying to transfer to an educator preparation program at one of the ten Teaching Fellows partner institutions
A student already enrolled at one of the ten Teaching Fellows partner institutions who transitions into an educator preparation program
An individual with a bachelor’s degree pursuing preparation for teacher licensure at one of the ten Teaching Fellows partner institutions
High school applicants or applicants with fewer than 24 hours of college credit must have a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.0. While not required, we strongly encourage applicants to submit an SAT and/or ACT score.
Applicants with more than 24 hours of college credit must have a minimum of a 2.7 cumulative GPA.
Be willing to teach in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics), special education, or elementary education (K-6) licensure area in a North Carolina public school, traditional or charter.

Every year, HSF selects 10,000 outstanding students as HSF Scholars from a broad and talented pool of applicants. Scholars are selected based on merit. Award amounts range from $500 - $5,000, based on relative need.
Eligibility:
Must be of Hispanic heritage
U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA
Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for high school students; minimum of 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent) for college and graduate students
Plan to enroll full-time in an accredited, public or not-for-profit, four-year university, or graduate school, in the US, for the 2023-2024 academic year

About the Scholarship
The Spirit of Old Main Scholarship is a newly established scholarship that provides funding opportunities for incoming American Indian freshmen at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. This merit-based scholarship is awarded to competitive in-state American Indian students and covers all unmet financial need for four years. To maintain eligibility, students must maintain full-time enrollment and a minimum GPA of 3.0.
*Room and board consist of on-campus double-occupancy housing ONLY.

The Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center (ECAC) is proud to offer the Matthew C. Graziadei Achievement Scholarship Award to a North Carolina high school senior with a disability. This award includes a $1,500 scholarship, to be used for any post-high school learning experience/training or for equipment/technology needed for employment.
Eligibility:
ALL North Carolina students with disabilities are eligible for nomination. Including students enrolled in the Occupation Course of Study, students who will be receiving a Graduate Certificate and students enrolled in the Future Ready Course of Study.
