C Building

One of the biggest developments for our international programme this year is the finalisation of the new C Building right here at the Uji campus!

The new four storey building has been designed and constructed with the needs of international learners and their education in mind, including:

• First Floor: A dedicated Art Studio, Physical Science laboratory and Life Science laboratory.

• Second Floor: A spacious 'communication lounge' for students to engage with teaching staff in one-to-one discussions, including tutorials.

• Third Floor: 6 home room classrooms to accommodate the expansion of our IB course, as well as a large outside terrace area for teachers and students to take their lessons out of the classroom and exchange ideas in an open-air environment.

• Fourth Floor: Additional classrooms and a fully featured Assembly Hall for events and exams.

Throughout the building are spaces for students to approach their studies in whatever way suits them best, whether that be individual study, small group collaborations or large group discussions, inside or outside.

The RitsIB department will begin classes in C Building from this September!

今年の国際プログラムの最大の進展のひとつは、新たにC棟が完成することです。

新棟は4階建で、国際的な学習者のニーズと教育を念頭に置いて設計・建設されており、以下のような特徴があります。

• 1階：専用のアートスタジオ、物理科学実験室、生命科学実験室。

• 2階: 広々とした "コミュニケーション・ラウンジ "では、チュートリアルを含め、学生が教員と1対1で議論することができます。

• 3階：IBコースの拡大に対応した6つのホームルーム教室と、教師と生徒が教室を飛び出して開放的な環境で意見交換できる広い屋外テラスエリア。

• 4階: 追加の教室と、イベントや試験のための機能が充実したアセンブリホールがあります。

一人でも、少人数でも、大人数でも、屋内でも屋外でも、自分に合った方法で学習に取り組むことができる空間が建物全体に広がっています。

IBコースは、この9月からC棟で授業を開始します!
