Respite services allows you to take a break from caring, while the person you care for is looked after by someone else.
It lets you take time out to look after yourself and helps you from becoming exhausted and run down.
Respite care can be provided either occasionally or on a regular basis.

Reduces stress for the caregiver
Relieves feelings of frustration and exhaustion increasing the caregivers well-being
Allows caregiver time to interact with family, friends, and the wider community
Improved relationship between caregiver and the individual they are caring for
Allows the person receiving care valuable interaction with other people
How are Respite Services scheduled?

Individuals that are approved for Respite Services are allowed a set amount of Respite time per month to be used at the discretion of the family.
Family members and caregivers contact RISE Ltd. to request for Respite Services when needed. RISE Ltd. will arrange for staffing to cover the requested Respite time.

Services take place in Northeast Iowa in the surrounding communities of Elkader and Oelwein
Respite Services are provided in the individual's family home.

RISE, Ltd. provides quality Respite Services for adults and children with:
Intellectual disabilities
Brain Injury
Elderly services
Respite Services are funded through Medicaid, County Funding and Private Pay.
