Jessie joined RISE Ltd. in 1999 as a Residential Coordinator and, in 2018, stepped into the role of Executive Director. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology from Drake University and an MBA in Organizational Development from Upper Iowa University.
In her role, Jessie provides strategic leadership for all aspects of RISE Ltd.’s operations. She directs organizational growth through strategic planning, program development, and community partnerships, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, credentialing, and accreditation requirements. Jessie oversees the financial management of the organization, including the organization's contracting.
Over the years, Jessie has guided RISE Ltd. through major milestones, including the 2018 acquisition and expansion of the Oelwein site, the launch of a Day Habilitation program in 2021 at the Oelwein site and its subsequent remodel in 2025, and the funding and construction of two new group homes in Oelwein that opened in 2022 and 2024.
Jessie is passionate about fostering a workplace where employees feel valued, respected, and empowered to do their best work—while having fun along the way. She feels that our staff are our most valuable asset. She believes strong community connections are just as important as strong organizational systems and has served in many volunteer roles over the years, from youth sports coach to board member for local childcare, recreation, and scholarship organizations.
Outside of work, Jessie enjoys spending time with her family, relaxing on the river with friends, reading, and cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
