At Risca Primary, community engagement is central to our aims. We build strong connections not only with our local community but also with wider community groups who help enrich our children’s learning in meaningful ways.
Through shared projects such as cooking sessions, local visits, and family learning workshops, our children gain real‑life experiences that deepen their understanding of the world around them.
We regularly welcome people of authority—such as Police Officers, Firefighters, and other community leaders—who support our learning through talks, safety sessions, and workshops. Visits to local churches and other community spaces further strengthen pupils’ sense of belonging, respect, and responsibility. Our wider community partners also bring diverse experiences and perspectives that broaden our children’s horizons and learning.
Together, these links with both our local and wider community help us create an inclusive, supportive environment where every child can grow, contribute, and thrive.
