School Admissions

We are delighted that you are interested in joining our school. 

Our PAN (Published Admissions Number) is 45. This means that we have 45 spaces each year in our Reception class and sometimes have spaces available in other year groups too.

Ringmer Primary and Nursery School is an academy and part of the Durrington Multi Academy  Trust (DMAT). DMAT, as a trust, is the admissions authority for its schools. For in-year admission, Ringmer Primary and Nursery School operationally manages admissions in line with this trust  policy.

Should you wish to apply for a place (other than at the usual time of entry, which takes place in the Reception year), you should complete an application form which is available from both the school and East Sussex County Council (ESCC).

We recognise children change schools for a variety of reasons — from moving home to changes in family circumstances or for other personal reasons. If you wish to change your child’s school, we would advise you to discuss your reasons for moving with a senior member of staff from Ringmer Primary and Nursery School prior to making a decision to apply, as any move is likely to disrupt the curriculum content they have begun to study. Admission Arrangements for 2026-2027

(for children due to start school for the first time in September 2026)

Primary School Admissions are administered by our Local Authority, East Sussex County Council and we adhere to their processes and policies for administering places fairly. In the event of there being more applications than places available, then East Sussex apply our oversubscription criteria (outlined in our admissions policy).

Please note that attendance at our Nursery does not guarantee a school place with us.
