Outlined in the document below are the waves of provision we use to support children with additional needs. Support is tailored to each individual and provided as needed, with or without a diagnosis. Please talk to your child's class teacher if you have any concerns about your child, their needs or the provision in class. You can find further information on the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities page on our website. This is where you will find our vision for SEND pupils, and our SEND information report which outlines what we as a school can offer.
English / Reading: The children are supported with STEM sentence, shared writes, key word maps, focus words each week, group work, CLIKR, 1:1 reading sessions, daily reading, reading materials to follow during shared class reading sessions, Nessy and focused 1:1 / group same and next day interventions.
Maths: The children are supported through the use of scaffolding, Mangahigh, group work and use of resources. The resources allow the children to understand the lessons through focused concrete learning where they are supported in 1:1 and group same and next day interventions to progress onto pictorial and abstract learning.
Curriculum: The children are supported during curriculum lessons through the use of STEM sentences, verbal discussions to support understanding and group work.
Our PE day is Monday and Tuesdays.
Please ensure your child wears their PE kit to school on their PE day.
Please make sure your child has the following items for each PE session:
a yellow t-shirt
black shorts and black jogging bottoms or leggings
a jumper
plimsolls or non marking trainers
Winter PE kit for when the weather changes. Jumper and tracksuit bottoms

Please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing depending on the weather that day. If it is raining please make sure your child brings wellies and a plastic bag for them to go in.
Please ensure your children come into school wearing appropriate clothing for the day and for all types of weather. This can include:
Waterproofs and wellies
Trainers
Change of socks
Coat /Jacket
Hat (if sunny)

Each term our learning will be themed around an enquiry question. Our Term 6 enquiry question is 'How does passion fuel design?' and we will focus on the themes of: passion, choice, love and value.

When Michael is washed up on an island in the Pacific after falling from his parents’ yacht, he struggles to survive on his own. But he soon realises there is someone close by, someone who is watching over him and helping him to stay alive.
